(AsiaGameHub) –   The inaugural event for Gaming in the Nordics is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026, in Copenhagen. Anders Dorph, Director of the Danish Gambling Authority, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker, according to the event organizers.

The event will be hosted at Better Collective HQ and is expected to draw together key decision-makers from the iGaming markets in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway, including those already regulated and those soon to be.

Gaming in the Nordics is a new initiative from Gaming in Europe, the organization behind established conferences such as Gaming in Holland, Gaming in Germany, and Gaming in Spain.

Additional confirmed speakers include Pontus Lindwall, CEO of Betsson; Jesper Søgaard, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Better Collective; Morten Ronde, CEO of the Danish Online Gambling Association (DOGA); Fredrik Stenstrøm, Secretary General of the Norway Association for Online Gaming (NBO); Pekka Ilmivalta, Head of Office at Nordic Legal – Finland; Birgitte Sand, CEO of Birgitte Sand & Associates; Josh Hodgson, COO of H2 Gambling Capital; and Peter-Paul de Goeij, Managing Consultant at QuodBonum.se, who will preside as the day’s chair.

Gaming in the Nordics founder Willem van Oort stated: “We are delighted that Mr. Anders Dorph has agreed to participate as a speaker at the Gaming in the Nordics launch event. In my experience, fostering dialogue between regulatory bodies and the industry is always beneficial. This event will feature strong industry representation from Mr. Pontus Lindwall of Betsson, alongside several prominent trade associations. While the Nordic markets exhibit varying degrees of regulation and market maturity, they share commonalities that provide a strong foundation for a productive exchange of insights and best practices.”

The organizers have indicated that the 2026 launch will be a compact, half-day conference with limited attendance. A full-scale annual Gaming in the Nordics conference is planned to take place in Copenhagen every June, commencing in 2027. Key sessions from the event will be recorded and made available to members of the Gaming in the Nordics community.
