To break this cycle, NODWIN Gaming and Nodding Heads Games are launching the inaugural India Games Showcase. This digital event premieres on June 8, 2026, at 10 AM PT. It is an official partner event of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest. The broadcast will stream on YouTube and Twitch. It features 40 curated Indian indie titles. A dedicated Steam event will run alongside the stream. Viewers will see games like Raahi by Kalp and Rakshasa by Odd Compass Studio. Other titles include Dodo Duckie, Silkgrove, and Loop. Nodding Heads Games previously created Raji: An Ancient Epic. That title earned a nomination at The Game Awards. Now, Akshat Rathee and Avichal Singh want to scale that success.

The commercial success of this initiative depends on direct player conversion. High broadcast viewership must turn into Steam wishlists. Wishlists drive the Steam algorithm. This algorithm determines organic visibility during launch weeks. For Indian studios, this showcase is a rare shot at securing international publishing deals. The ultimate end-game is clear. India must transition from a cheap outsourcing hub into a premium intellectual property powerhouse. If these 40 titles secure global funding, it will validate the entire regional market. Western publishers will finally establish dedicated scouting pipelines in Mumbai and Bangalore.
